Have you ever been through a season of life where you knew everything was about to change?
This is how I feel right now.
Like moving to a new community, starting a new job, having a baby, or getting married, there are certain moments in life people talk about as portals. In these moments, there is a keen awareness that everything is about to change. On the other side of this life event, your world will be different.
Over the next two weeks I will be moving through 3 major milestones that I have spent months and in some cases years preparing for.
This is both exciting (I can’t believe this is finally happening!!!!) and terrifying (what will life look like after? who will I be? what’s waiting? how will I fill my time when this is done?).
And I have found myself retreating into a cocoon in preparation.
Consequently, I haven’t been publishing as much as I normally do. I wanted to let you know that I will be back to my regular programming soon and in the meantime I wanted to share with you what’s going on in my world so you can partake in the joy!
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
The NYC Marathon!!!!
In 48 hours, I will run the NYC Marathon! This my first marathon! I share the story of why I decided to run here along with how I got into NYC as a first timer (there is less than 4% chance you make it in via the lottery, which I did!)
To give you a sense of my journey, when I started training in January, I could barely run 3 miles (5K). A few weeks ago, I finished a 20 mile run. I am not quite sure who this version of Analisa Winther is, but a year ago I didn’t believe I could accomplish such a physical feat. It’s wild what we can accomplish when we decide to do something.
Now my stomach is full of butterflies getting ready for race day. I think the hardest part is surrending. The training is done. There is nothing more to prepare. As my coach said, “This is our victory lap. Enjoy it!” My goal is to have FUN and finish without injury and I ask for your thoughts and prayers for that this Sunday as the race unfolds.
You can track my bib here. And if you want to support our fundraiser for cancer research, there is still time to donate! Thank you for doing so ❤️
The Launch of Top 50 Farmers!
On Nov 11, Top 50 Farmers is opening up nominations for regenerative farmers across Europe to apply! This has been 2 YEARS in the making and our whole team has been working around the clock to put the finishing touches on the launch. I’m so proud of them and crossing all my fingers and toes that the nomination is a massive success.
ICYMI, Top 50 Farmers is scaling regenerative agriculture in Europe by spotlighting and empowering the farmers leading the way. Every year we celebrate fifty outstanding farms practicing or transitioning to regenerative agriculture. Benefits of the program include access to markets, financing, and peer-to-peer mentorship.
If you’re a farmer, you’ll be able to apply directly. If you know an amazing farmer you can nominate them for this opportunity (your encouragement goes a long way!).
If you haven’t already, follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn to stay up to date.
And be sure to sign up for our newsletter to get notified when the nomination opens!
Hosting FoodTech Forum
On Nov 12, I will host FoodTech Forum in Malmo, Sweden! Already over 500 people have registered for the conference making it the largest event I’ve ever MCed. Can you believe that?
If you’re interested in investing in or working with the Swedish agrifood scene, then you have to attend. The event is free and the line up of speakers is epic.
Please let me know if you will be in the audience so that I can say hello!
