On Sunday, I completed the NYC Marathon!
Running through the city I was born in alongside 51,000+ people from all over the world and surrounded by the cheers and positivity of 2 million spectators was unreal.
Our crew raised over $13K for cancer research as part of Fred's Team. THANK YOU to all who donated. We all finished -- most with personal record breaking times.
I am also beyond grateful for all our friends & fam that showed up on the course.
Knowing that you were just around the corner kept me going when everything hurt.
The positive messages I received from friends around the world tracking the race were also instrumental in helping me run through the pain. It was a tidal wave of love. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My goal was to finish without injury & a smile on my face which is exactly what happened. I couldn't be more grateful though I did take today off and am doing the marathon shuffle around the house.
My time was 5:11 and my brother Tyler did 5:14. We got to run 18 miles together, which was my favorite part ❤️
Witnessing people from all walks of life accomplish such a physical feat is like watching thousands of miracles unfold before you're eyes.
I don't know what seeds were sowed yesterday, but I have a feeling the impact on my life will be felt for years to come.
You can watch a full recap of the day here and get the backstory on why I decided to run here!
