Bogota has a very different character from Cartagena and Medellin. It’s big – home to 8 million people – industrial, and the third highest capital in the world. At the same time, it’s blossoming with creative industries and a thriving gastronomic scene.

I only had 72 hours here and a lot of it was filled with work so my guide to the city is brief. With that, I can’t wait to go back.

Here is what’s covered in this guide:

  • Stay

  • Eat

  • Coffee

  • What to Do

  • Shopping

Where to Stay

I stayed at Casa Lelyte, a boutique hotel and vegetarian restaurant. The hotel only has four rooms and it really feels like home.

Note: Staff is not present 24/7. You will get your own key to come and go as you please. Breakfast is included and the food is awesomeeee.
